Most farms are <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">currently <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">lying bare with just a handful of cows roaming around, yet there could be crops growing there that can generate income for these farm owners, <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">while<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> feeding <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">a huge <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">population that need<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">s<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> it. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">I still remember how my father was <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">always <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">received <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">like a rock star whenever he visited <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Gikuyu with a pick up full of Nyandarua produce. <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Bag<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">s of maize, potatoes, wheat <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">and maize flour<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">, peas, <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">cabbage and all those other crops that <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">grew effortlessly on<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> our massive farms. This was just one pick up and nothing on it was for sale. It was a gift for our Gikuyu relatives and friends. They were so glad to receive that and they talked about it for ages, meaning there is a need for such deliveries. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">There are second and third generation <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Nyandaruans who have the <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">financial <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">capability <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">to<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> invest in long distance trucks to ferry Nyandarua produce to far off Counties where <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">such produce is scarce<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">, meaning there is an open and ready market <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">for it<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">. Whenever crops are ready, <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">such <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">a Nyandaruan who wants to benefit his people, not exploit them, can establish collection centers for whatever crop <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">that<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> is in season. He can purchase straight from the farmers <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">at the fairest price that is worth their effort and labor. His<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> convoy <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">can then<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> leave Nyandarua headed straight to the markets he has already established. <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">By the time the trucks return, the farmers will have brought even more of their produce, and the convoy can pick up and head back out. This will cut out the <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">crafty <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">\u201cforeign\u201d middlemen who <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">have exploited<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> our farmers <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">for decades<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">. <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Wealthy Nyandaruans can invest back home and benefit their own people because they understand what is at stake. <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">After studying the markets, one can educate the farmers on what is profitable for them for their next crop season and even bring them quality seeds to enhance productivity.
