Do not enter into a business just because your neighbor is doing the same and seems to be making a lot of money. He could be very talented in whatever business he is doing and he must have done his homework before embarking on it. The market he is covering may not be big enough to accommodate too many businesses, that is why it would be a grave mistake for you to invest into it. Study and see what a business requires, what your skills are and where the market is before you dive into anything. Never do anything blindly just because somebody else is succeeding in it. Your skills and talent may be well suited elsewhere and that is where you will find your success. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

There are jobs that are not adequately filled right there in OlKalou. I know somebody who was recently looking for a professional plumber. That is when he discovered there are only two known qualified, licensed plumbers in town. <\/span><\/span>One of them is a full time<\/span><\/span> government <\/span><\/span>employee, making him un<\/span><\/span>available <\/span><\/span>for hire <\/span><\/span>during working hours. <\/span><\/span>I did not have the slightest idea, but when I heard that, I asked myself: h<\/span><\/span>ow can that be when there is such an explosion of construction jobs all over OlKalou? I could be wrong. <\/span><\/span>T<\/span><\/span>here could be others, but where are they? How come majority of people don’t know them or where they can find them? Where do they advertise for their services <\/span><\/span>and<\/span><\/span> who can give their references, <\/span><\/span>a very important aspect <\/span><\/span>for any<\/span><\/span> business <\/span><\/span>transaction<\/span><\/span>? <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

That is why young people need to go to college for targeted skills that are needed in their communities and aggressively market their skills to reach a wider market. <\/span><\/span>One may never have considered becoming a plumber, but if there is <\/span><\/span>a ready or growing demand<\/span><\/span> for plumbing <\/span><\/span>professionals<\/span><\/span>, one can go to a vocational college, get the training <\/span><\/span>they need <\/span><\/span>and get back to serve the<\/span><\/span>ir<\/span><\/span> community, earni<\/span><\/span>ng a decent income while still living at home with minimal expenses<\/span><\/span>. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

That is targeted training. Acquiring a lifetime skill to meet the demands of ones community. There is no tarmacking involved. Just a young person equipping himself with what his community needs and getting paid to serve them.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
