{"id":832,"date":"2019-05-18T20:50:14","date_gmt":"2019-05-18T20:50:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nyandarua.com\/home\/?p=832"},"modified":"2019-07-28T19:36:05","modified_gmt":"2019-07-28T19:36:05","slug":"custodians","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nyandarua.com\/home\/custodians\/","title":{"rendered":"Custodians"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wp-block pg-opt box-content\">\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">As our Pioneer Parents prepared us for a modern life that included an education they never had, we too need to prepare the next generation for whatever life we dream possible for them. Times have changed, and the opportunities we had growing up in the 1980s and 90s have either disappeared or shrank to near nothing. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" lang=\"en\" align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Our parents prepared us to fill positions left vacant by the British Colonists. They prepared us to fill positions in an emerging economy crafted by the new Independent government. There were plenty of jobs available back then for anybody with a good education. Since then, our government has failed to grow the economy, shrinking the job opportunities, while the population of highly educated young people exploded and the retirement age was extended. That is a disastrous combination. Everywhere you look, there is a school or a private college filled with hopeful students. Question is, where do they go after graduating? <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" lang=\"en\" align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">It is our generation that is now tasked with the responsibility to steer our children to where they can survive in this tough economy. We need to be both smart and practical on how we approach this sensitive but very important issue.
