You could not easily notice the difference in their economic status. It is now that I realize there were some families that were wealthy while their immediate neighbors were dirt poor. But we did not know it back then. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" lang=\"en\" align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">The Pioneer Parents lived simple lives focusing on developing their land, whatever the acreage. Some had hundreds of acres, others had a hundred, others fifty and others even smaller than that. Everybody worked their land with the help of their children or workers and day laborers if they could afford them. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" lang=\"en\" align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Everybody worked hard to build the local school where their children could get an education.
