Whenever we face a problem or a challenge, it is always half solved when we identify the root cause of it. Until we do, and acknowledge it for what it is, we will never resolve it. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Our parents knew they had a huge problem in their hands and they were sick and tired of living in that terrible situation in their own country. They knew the root of their problem was colonialism. They knew their enemy was the British colonists who ruled and reigned over them, treating them like slaves in their own country. They also knew they needed a strong force with a strong will to be able to fight off the powerful colonial regime that was well equipped and well trained in warfare. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

That is how the MauMau movement was born. It was the resolve of our fathers to fight off a powerful enemy that seemed impossible to drive out. But they did. They worked together, neighbor with neighbor, town with town, district with district, all with the common goal to drive out their common enemy. They stayed focused, they backed each other up, they refused to betray each other and they were ready to go to detention or even die for the cause. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
